- Please keep all gates closed as you explore, no matter how quickly you think you will be returning to it.
- Don't climb the fences, use the gates and stiles that are in place.
- Children and dogs are welcome but we ask that they are not left unsupervised and dogs remain on leads, and any mess is collected, it is a magical spot to enjoy, but not run wild, please respect other guests.
- Fire Pits are available, disposable bbqs are accepted, but please do not have camp fires on the ground. Logs are available at a small charge. Do not strip the young woodland of branches. Do not light fires in windy conditions. No naked flames, candles or fire lanterns.
- Please be respectful of the quietness of the area, no loud music, shouting, drunken parties etc.
- Take rubbish away with you, leave the site as you find it, as you would with wild camping.
- You are welcome to explore the two fields along the riverbank, access is restricted/no access to the farm vegetable patch and the main farmhouse garden area.
- Please follow the country code in the surrounding area.
- Payment is in advance or on arrival, not on leaving, due to previous non-payers.
- Terms and Conditions can be found on the board on arriving at the site.
- Please respect the place as well as the people, abuse of our good will and trust runs the risk of closing the campsite.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The parties to this contract are:
"Rue du Chateau" also referred to as "we", "us", "our" etc.

"You" also referred to as "your", being the party or parties named on the booking, and all members of your group jointly and individually whether family or not, your pets and any day visitors that you may have.

- Contract Acceptance: By booking a pitch or using any Camp facilities you agree to abide by the Camp Rules and these Terms & Conditions. A contract between Rue du Chateau Camping and you exists as soon as a booking is made or you begin to use Camp Facilities.
- Pitch, Personal & Other Fees & Charges: You shall pay such Pitch, Personal and other fees and charges as are set out on our website and booking communication.
- Provision of Advertised Facilities and Services: In return we will provide you with the facilities and services as indicated in our marketing media, subject to availability. For operational reasons the facilities and services may not be exactly as portrayed, though they will be similar. We may not permit access to pitches and facilities if payment in advance in full has not been made.
- Disclosure of Information: When booking you may be asked to disclose any and all details of all members of your party, sizes & numbers of tents, numbers of pets etc that may affect charges paid or the acceptance of a booking. Failure to declare all such information may result in additional charges being levied or in exclusion.
- Payment:
- Fees: Fees must be paid prior to or directly on arrival.
- Other Charges: all outstanding fees and charges must be paid in full prior to departure.
- Method of Payment: You may pay by cash or Paypal [email protected]. Cash payments must be made in person to one of the camp staff.
- Cancellations, transfers & Refunds:
- Cancellations must be confirmed in writing, or by email to be effective.
- Money you have paid prior to cancellation by you may be fully refunded or transferred to a new booking at our discretion, subject to availability.
- Other Changes to Bookings: We will try to accommodate any changes including dates you might wish to make to your booking but cannot guarantee to do so.
- Exceptional Circumstances: In very exceptional circumstances we may have to re-arrange or cancel your booking. In such circumstances any money you have paid will be refunded in full. However if such re-arrangement or cancellation becomes necessary as a result of Force Majeure (i.e. including Acts of God (such as fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war hostilities invasion or act of foreign enemies (whether war is declared or not), civil war rebellion revolution or insurrection, terrorist activities, strike labour dispute or lockout, or interruption or failure of services provided by utility companies, and all events we cannot anticipate and which are beyond our control that prevent or disrupt performance of the contract) then we shall accept no liability, pay no refund nor compensation, nor meet any of your consequential expenses.
- Payment for damage caused: We will seek financial compensation for damage to our, our neighbours' or our other clients' property caused by you wilfully or through lack of due care and attention. We reserve the right to request at any point in the future a returnable deposit to cover potential damage to property, either for all or for individual bookings.
- Exclusion for non-compliance with Rules, terms & conditions: We reserve the right to make specific request for compliance with the Camp Rules and this contract, and if such compliance is not forthcoming to instruct you and/ or specific members of your group to leave the premises as soon as reasonably possible, and to arrange for your removal if we meet with continued refusal. Such action will not be taken unreasonably or without prior discussion with you.
- Refusal of Entry: We reserve the right to refuse entrance to our facilities to anyone who, in our judgment, may be at risk of non-compliance with the rules, terms and conditions. In such circumstances no refunds will be made. Such action will not be taken unreasonably or without prior discussion with the parties.
- Liability: Some situations and activities may be unfamiliar to you. We will provide advice whenever requested. You confirm that
- By making use of Rue du Chateau Camping's facilities, you accept you are undertaking out-door activities in a natural environment in which all risk cannot be “managed out”, and you agree to take responsibility for your own Health and Safety and that of your group jointly, and also to ensure responsible and prudent behaviour at all times to prevent accidents.
- Either you have obtained adequate insurance cover appropriate to the activities you may be undertaking, or that after consideration you have decided you do not wish to do so.
- You accept you will be using the facilities as provided at your own risk. Our facilities are maintained in good working order and we will accept no liability for accidents or injuries howsoever caused.
- You will secure and insure and take care of all your property and possessions while in Camp. We will accept no liability whatsoever for any theft, loss or damage to your property or possessions, insured or not.
- Complaints & dissatisfaction: If you become dis-satisfied in any way with the facilities and services provided, you must raise the matter firstly with Camp staff. If the matter cannot be put right by them, you must make a written complaint within 21 days of departure to enable us to investigate it fully. No complaint will be accepted if these 2 steps have not been completed. If in our judgement the complaint is justified we will offer such recompense or compensation as we believe is warranted. This does not affect your statutory rights.
